Bentuk Praktik Vipassana bagi Mahasiswa Prodi Kepenyuluhan Buddha STAB Negeri Sriwijaya Tangerang Banten

Abstract


The aim of this research is to invite students to know the importance of  implementing vipassana. Describe the place and time of the implementation of  vipassana, the process of implementing vipassana, and the results of the  implementation of vipassana for students of the Sriwijaya STAB State Buddhist  Thought Study Program. This type of research is the steps that are used systematically to collect data in  conducting research and assisting in making scientific papers. In this writing using  descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this research were  students of the STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang Banten Buddhist Social Sciences Study  Program. The object of this research is vipassana practice for the Sriwijaya STAB  Negeri Sriwijaya Buddhist Social Medicine Study Program. Data collection  techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity  technique used validity and reliability tests. The validity is done to ensure the  validity and credibility of the data, including the degree of trust (credibility),  transferability (transferability), dependability (dependability) and certainty  (confirmability). Based on the data obtained, the researcher can conclude the practice of  Vipassana for the students of the Sriwijaya State Buddhist College of Buddhism,  namely: (1) the place and time of implementing Vipassana, covering several  aspects, namely: During college holidays, students have the opportunity to  participate in the practice vipassana. Some of the students of the Buddhist  Counseling Study Program, they carry out vipassana at meditation retreats such as  those in Cisauk, Dhamma Java, Gunung Gelis, Bogor and Bakom Sukhesikharama  Mindfullnes Forest. (2) the process of implementing Vipassana, includes several  aspects, namely: Students of the Buddha Thought Study Program carry out the  practice of vipassana by being aware of thinking, speaking, and doing. Vipassana  practice emphasizes the middle path according to the Buddha's teachings. Giving  priority to the safety of one's physical and mental state. (3) The results of the  implementation of Vipassana include several aspects, namely: Students of the  Buddha Thought Study Program after meditating on Vipassana develop good  thoughts. The students of Buddhist science study program are able to understand  the meaning of anicca, dukkha, and anatta.
